She is the Founder and Curator of UN-BRIEFED, an independent curatorial platform dedicated to advancing critical discourse in architecture, design, and the built environment. Under her direction, the platform develops international exhibitions, publications, and collaborative initiatives that connect architects, designers, artists, and researchers from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. Her curatorial work emphasizes experimental design thinking, ecological futures, and innovative approaches to contemporary spatial practice.
Alongside her curatorial practice, Yan works across architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture on projects ranging from mixed-use developments and adaptive reuse to renewable energy infrastructure, speculative architecture, and research-based design.
